The '-ISM' is Back

Every once in a while it just creeps up on me.... Everyone knows that I like to tip back a few from time to time, but every so often (usually a few times a year) my 'ism' creeps up on me. I have to take a step back and realize that I'm just drinking too much and/or too often. Sooo I need to take a break (at least until the weekend) to get my faculties in order. Luckily, I'm working a lot this week, today is my only day off. I've just been dealing with a lot of emotional stuff these past few months, and the alcohol seems to really knock it loose. I've just been displaying some odd behaviors that I really don't appreciate. I need to work through things and everything will be all right. My mother has of course picked up on the increase in my drinking and is concerned too, and rightfully so. She will be gone all this weekend and I think that is for the best, maybe I'll stay home and just decompress (one of my new favorite words). Last night after talking to my BFF, Jena, I actually got some good advice from her. Go figure the girl that doesn't know where the Dugout or the Hawkeye Tap is in Davenport even though she's lived here for over 18 years... can give out some pretty solid advice. So thanks to Jena for being a coool chick, and my best friend. Oh, and thanks for the famous notepad entry 'This is soooo reminiscent of Jared Tygart in the 7th grade'

Beginning of Summer

I haven't written for a while, and there really isn't any excuse for it. I've spending a lot of time hanging out with some friends and families and working. Work has been crazy recently and I've worked a couple of night on second shifts because they're just soo short on 2nds. This works out nice for me because they were all call-in pay, so I should have a pretty great check! Madison started her softball last week so she's pretty excited about that. She hit a triple and then carried the bat for two bases! Pretty sure she was the only one who did that. There really isn't much going on with me, I'm just keeping busy with work, volleyball, and Madison. I guess I'm going to get myself some breakfast because I'm hunnngry!!!! I am 'seeing' someone right now, but I'm not sure if and when it will go anywhere. I will keep everyone updated!
